Our vision with Cross Pollinate is to raise £500,000 for Christian causes in the next 5 years at the events we host. As well as providing possible financial support we aim to create a network that will pray for, and encourage, the Charities represented.

In the Christian charity sector, as with the mainstream charity arena, there is a danger that the bigger charities get bigger, as a result of their marketing and fundraising clout, whilst the small and fledgling get squeezed out. Cross Pollinate seeks to give a platform to the smaller Christian charities so that they can tell their story and explain how they are changing lives, to an audience who may have never heard of them previously.

Our vision is to create a network of like-minded, generous and interested people who look forward to meeting together at Cross Pollinate events.

Our view is that most fundraising done by charities is paper based and impersonal. Some charities are not good at filling in the required forms, preparing the right marketing materials and constructing the right databases – yet they are running fantastic projects which deserve funding! Cross Pollinate will allow a more personal, face to face presentation of a charity’s aims and objectives, and allow the potential donor to ask questions there and then.

We want to create something that is interractive, spontaneous and fun! We believe that giving should be enjoyable and creative, whilst holding to the Biblical principle that it should be done discreetly and humbly

Our vision has been shaped by being members of The Funding Network (TFN) (see www.thefundingnetwork.org.uk) – a brilliant philanthropy network founded in 2001. Cross Pollinate has been developed in their image with their permission. In many ways Cross Pollinate is a variant of TFN designed to serve the Christian charity sector.

We believe that this is another way to give - not the right way, not the only way, but an option for the potential donor.
